Got a great mail from Chica today, she (re)discovered a drink that she recognized from childhood days, Chika writes:
"It's not a very major brand nor a major drink, but we have soda named Skaal ;-) When I was a child, I often had it. I remember this green can!! The company named this soda after "skaal," the norwegian "kanpai" word, 32 years ago!!! I just read it as its product info. Well, I didn't know it was named after the norwegian word though..... because I only paid attention to the Japanese written sign! Kids can't tell other languages anyway!! We read it as "Sukooru (=skaal)." The taste is a bit like "Actimel" but it's whity soda ;-)) I guess this pop doesn't relate to anything Norwegian for sure, but probably the milk product image?? Gotta ask around ;-))"
